Riding a motorcycle is not about starting at A and arriving at B. It's about the transformation of yourself that can only occur when traveling on two wheels.

I found when I was doing a lot of coding years ago that I would have similar problems using the clutch on my various motorcycles. What I later learned was the weakness in my hand was cause by the on set of carpo tunnel.

Fortunately I caught it in time. Do some googling on preventing carpo tunnel and start strengthen your wrist now so you can avoid it in the future.

By the way great looking site.

The V-Strom can be fully accessorized for less than the cost of a base-model BMW, and is arguably more reliable. It’s one of the reasons why I chose it (instead of the BMW GS1200 I was originally considering). I hope to make it all the way north to Prudhoe Bay and take a dip in the Arctic Ocean.

I ride my bike so often -- all year -- that it's seldom clean enough for a decent photo shoot.

Dude, your bike is seriously tricked out compared to how it looked the last time I saw it in the McMenamins Mall 205 parking lot!

I'm really looking forward to reading about your trip to Alaska (and pictures too)! When are you planning to go?

Thanks for posting this! I have the same crash bars and skid plate waiting to be installed (when the garage warms up a little) and I appreciate the tip about the mounting nuts.
